Experienced Sailorís Course is for sailors who have a significant
amount of sailing experience and wish to complete their basic level
education and obtain the inland certifications, including the Bareboat
Charter Certification credential.
+ Owned a 30 foot or larger monohull sailboat for a minimum
of two years, and
+ Captained 30 foot or larger monohull sailboats for a
minimum of 50 days underway.
+ Completed ASA105 Coastal Navigation full
length classroom course or Home Study course through the Maryland
School of Sailing and successfully achieved ASA105 Certification.
+ Completed the ASA118 two-day Docking Course
through the Maryland School of Sailing and successfully achieved
+ Four-day hands-on checkout course aboard an
Island Packet 32 foot sailboat for all of the required skills and
knowledge of the ASA101, ASA103 and ASA104 course standards.
+ Written exams for ASA101 Basic Keelboat
Sailing, ASA103 Basic Coastal Cruising, and ASA104 Bareboat Cruising.
