ASA104 Intermediate Coastal Cruising Course

Day 1:
Provisioning, safety and systems, cruise planning, boat orientation. Weather forecast: Winds S 5-10 knots. Clear. Lankford Creek to Eagle Cove off Magothy River. Anchored and ate dinner aboard. 

Day 2:
Weather forecast: Winds SSE 10-15; Gusts to 20. Tacking, jibing, and reefing underway. COB. Harness and tether usage. Sound signals, rules of the road. Fuel and battery management. Navigation, fixes and DR plotting. Moored in Annapolis. 

Day 3:
Weather forecast: Winds S 5-15 knots, partly cloudy, fog, 15% chance of thunderstorms. Navigation, traffic separation, storm preparedness, advanced sail trim, dinghy management. Annapolis to St. Michaels. Docked. 

Day 4:
Weather forecast: Winds W 5-10, Gusts to 15. Sunny. Cruise to Wye River. Anchored for lunch, test. Return to St. Michaels to dock. COB drills on return trip. 

Day 5:
Weather forecast: Winds S 5 knots; Clear. Motor sailed from St. Michaels to Langford Bay. MOB Drills.
