Jeff Darr, who took an ASA103-104 coastal cruise in the Virgin Islands in January 2013, sent the following note; ~ Rita We had our first encounter with the Maryland School at the
2011 Annapolis Boat Show. In fact, it was Captain Hoffman we met. It was a
good first impression. He told us then that the emphasis of the school was
teaching people how to be good sailors, and safety; not just how to pass a
test and get a certification. I still did a great deal of internet research and
compared other schools, but ultimately decided that your school best fit
our expectations. Everything was obviously very well thought out. I will say
that Robin and I took our 101 from a different sailing school, and while
the other school got us through the test and the basics, there is no comparison
to the quality of instruction the Maryland School offers. It is quite
obvious that the Maryland School is in business for the right reasons and not
just to make a buck, which is why we decided on you to begin with. Jeff Darr |
