Kathy Fenske, who took our ASA103 sailing class in June 2019 along with her family, sent the following note ~
This was a wonderful class. I and my family learned many skills that we will
put to use in sailing and cruising. With the windy weather, we learned how to
use harnesses and jack lines. The man over board procedures and drills proved
to be helpful - on a recent dive trip, another diver fell off the dive boat at
speed and I and my family immediately yelled "man over board" and
began pointing at the MOB. He was safely recovered from the ocean. Captain
Norwood was an excellent instructor and covered all the class materials plus
imparted his own knowledge and experience. He was patient and thorough in his
teaching. I and my family highly recommend Captain Norwood and the Maryland
School. We will come back for the 104 class.
