Harald Hefel, who took our ASA101, 103, 104 and Docking courses in 2016, sent the following note recently: ~ Hello wonderful team of the Maryland School. I just want
to acknowledge your emails, and what your program has done for me in my personal
sailing experience over the years. I get excited when I get emails from you
because this is where it all began, in your school under your professional watch
and guidance. No, I did not round the Cape Horn or solo circumnavigate the globe
but I got to become a responsible and good sailor, crewing on boat deliveries,
captaining my own sailboats in coastal adventures and club racing where I spend
most of my sea time the last few years, and successfully too. So again
thank you for what you pass on and the dreams you help make reality. |
