~ A Cut Above ~

Tina Hogan, who took our ASA101 sailing course in August 2023, sent the following comments:

The ASA 101 Basic Keeling Course was an amazing experience. I learned so much in preparation from the materials provided and then even more so with our instructor, Yvonne.  Yvonne is an excellent instructor who is extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and fun; a teacher I'll never forget for sure! Her instruction is delivered in a very thorough and calm demeanor which helped so much. She's just amazing at the very least! :-)

All of the material provided was extremely helpful for me especially since I've never sailed nor do I own a sailboat yet. I studied everything well before the class and was able to internalize a lot of the information and then the actual sailing course on the boat set it all in to place. I will still study and practice through a sailing club until I'm 100% comfortable and confident but I know I will be referring to all of the material moving forward.
