~ A Cut Above ~

Kathy Leef, who took an ASA104 Intermediate Coastal Cruising course with Captain Steve Runals in September 2013, sent the following comments after the course:

~

The course was excellent. Just the right amount of time. Friday night we met and discussed the course/preparartions over dinner. Each day started with "classroom" time; and then work and preparation for the day. Nice variety of conditions and experiences- from reefing the sails to motoring, pulling into a slip vs. anchoring. Great time.

Captain Runals is a great instructor; kept everyone on track. He maximized the time to give everyone the opportunity to "work the boat", ask questions, and improve our sailing skills/knowledge. He gave me a full understanding of what cruising is- provisioning, conserving water/electric power, weather updates, navigating, and more

Good communication with staff. The information I received was very helpful; and I felt well prepared for class ahead of time. The links that Captain Runals gave us ahead of time were very helpful.

You guys are doing a great job. I don't have any suggestions for improvements.
