We received this feedback from Gina Mangano-Candy who took an ASA118 Docking Class with us in August 2017 ~ The docking class exceeded
my expectations. Objectives were clear from the beginning, curriculum was well
organized and easy to follow, length of class was sufficient for this topic,
materials allowed for the right level of advance preparation, class size
allowed for sufficient hands on instruction. I initially wondered whether the
boat (Scholarship) was appropriate for this class, however after having been at
the helm for two days I appreciate having had the opportunity to practice
docking a fairly challenging boat in tight quarters. Captain Frank McKee is a gem
and I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to take this class under his
direction. One couldn't ask for a better instructor - leadership skills, an
extensive sailing resume, calm and steady demeanor, and a spirited nature
that made the entire experience both instructional and fun. Frank also has an
innate ability to effortlessly mold individuals into a high performing team (or
crew in this case). I wouldn't hesitate to take another course under
Frank's instruction in the future. Top notch administrative
support. Communication was regular, clear and informative. The entire process
was extremely well organized from course registration through to completion.
Scholarship was well maintained and ready to sail when we arrived.
Both the course and the school exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't
hesitate to take another class. Gina Mangano-Candy ~ ASA 118 Docking Graduate August 2017
