Maura Shea, who took an all-woman's ASA101 Basic Sailing course with Captain Robin Bauer in June 2015, sent the following comments:

Hi Rita,

The women's sailing class met my expectations and more. I expected a thorough well instructed class. It was. I thought that I would have opportunities to get to do everything in an all women's class.  I did. I didn't expect to have so much fun, and I really did.

Robin was very thorough, and very patient. She was very attentive to each of our goals for the class, and tailored things we were learning to each of us. For example she would say "Maura, on your boat it  would be a little different, ..." I was glad to have had Robin as a teacher, and to have had such an experienced female captain to learn from.

Rita, you were great to deal with . Even though I signed up at the 11th hour, you made it all work. At Rock Hall, everyone was attentive and positive.  Everything was clean and ready. I wish I could always say the same for my home!
