We received this from Mike Wall who took an ASA101 course with Captain Don Boccuti in May 2016 ~ Rita, I
wanted to report back to you on the “Basic Keelboat Sailing 101” course. I
thoroughly enjoyed the course. I thought at my age I could not “learn”
something new and as complicated as sailing a large boat. However, with Capitan
Don’s excellent instructions and his “extreme patience” and calm demeanor
with this “novice” (me), I feel I really can master this activity. My
brother (who has a Cal 31) can’t wait for me to sail his boat with him. Maybe
I will teach him a “thing or two” that I learned from Capitan Don. I
am really interested in taking more courses, maybe in the fall. Thanks
