~ A Cut Above ~

Dennis Harms

Dennis Harms stepped aboard a sailboat for the first time in 1998 and his obsession for sail began.  Within a few years he acquired a USCG 100 Ton Masters License, and in 2001 he became an ASA sailing instructor. Dennis is now an Instructor Evaluator for the ASA201 through the ASA206 Advanced Coastal Cruising level.

Since moving from the west coast in 2014, where his sailing grounds included Lake Tahoe, the Sacramento Delta, San Francisco Bay and the coast of California, he has extensively sailed from the Chesapeake Bay to Key Largo, FL. Dennis teaches at our basic and intermediate sailing levels, and  also conducts Instructor Qualification Clinics.
