~ A Cut Above ~

Keith Jackson

Keith has been a certified ASA instructor for ASA 101 Basic Keel Boat through ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising and Cruising Catamaran for over 10 years.  He is also an ASA Instructor Evaluator and holds a 50 Ton Near Coastal Masters License.  He enjoys introducing students to the “fun” of sailing and watching them develop as they continue their sailing activities, and his students seem to appreciate his calm and relaxed approach to sailing and teaching. Seven times Keith has been recognized by ASA as one of the outstanding sailing instructors in the US based on student evaluations.

Keith’s nautical instruction goes beyond strictly sailing.  For five years he has been instructing prospective Captains and has prepared over a thousand of them for their USCG Licenses.  Keith is always looking for a reason to be on the water, whether it be for sailing instruction, relieving the Captain on the 75 foot schooner NORTH WIND out of Philadelphia, or delivering boats up and down the East Coast.

Keith is married to Vicki, his wife of 32 years who prefers to stay on shore. Vicki and Keith live with their son Adam in Hazleton Pennsylvania.
