~ A Cut Above ~

Lew Jalbert

 
Lew Jalbert graduated from the University of Virginia, worked as a Marine Engineer and founded his own engineering firm in 1988 which he sold in 1997 to devote more time to sailing and his other interests. Lew is a USCG Licensed Near Coastal Captain, an ASA certified Sailing Instructor, a Marine Surveyor, an FAA Licensed commercial pilot with Instrument ratings and a Flight Instructor. He is an experienced sailor with more than 10,000 miles of offshore sailing experience, owns an Island Packet 40 foot sailing yacht which he has sailed to Bermuda, teaches our basic and intermediate level sailing classes, and has served as a First Mate on our ocean training cruises.
